7th Week: Project Presentation Day

We need to present the draft idea of the whole project.
I think our group did it great.
But nothing is perfect right?
We get something wrong in the teaching strategy part and learning area.
I already rectify it when I reach home.
I also pin point some area that we can improve as well.
Thank you, Dr. Jamal, your suggestion is useful and practical.

6th Week: It's time to move on

We need to design learning activities for our website.
Next week, we need to present the whole idea of our website before we start developing it.
Unfortunately, I am lost..
Before this, I thought what I plan to do is correct, but at the end of the class, I realize that it is not what I thought, it is something else.
Teaching strategy, learning activities, Instructional design model and learning theory..
I need to find out more about this term before I lost again.

5th week: Dr. Jamal Medical Leave

This week class cancel.
I have a chance to take a breathe, so I go to PSZ to dig out something regarding to learning theory and active learning.

4th Week: Web Project Management

The 4th Week lesson teaches one important thing.
It is the role of the web development team members.
We need to a team, every team members need to be clear of their responsibility and role in a task.
If not, the responsible may collide and conflict may occur due to the ignorance of task distribution.
The roles, the tasks, time frame, budget control and objectives need to be well acknowledged.
The main reason is to avoid confusion throughout the whole project and increase the cooperation of the whole team effort.
Next week, it is Chinese New Year Holiday, I hope our team can come up with some creative presentation strategy!

3rd Week: Web Development Process

In this week's lesson, we open up our eyes to see into details regarding the steps in developing a website.

Here is the vital steps:
1. Analyzing learners' background
2. Collecting the contents
3. Validating the content
4. Designing the website theme
5. Designing web typography
6. Designing the learning/presentation strategy
7. Designing the interface & navigation
8. Developing graphic & animation files
9. Developing audio & video files
10. Website development process
11. Developing an interactive page
12. Testing the website
13. Evaluating the website
14. Publishing the website through server

Besides that, we also recall back the very important design model: ADDIE

2nd Week: Basic Concept of Educational Website

This week's lesson somehow demand us to relate the Learning Theory and Active Learning Strategy with the website we need to build in future.
Well, I need to be honest with all of my friends, this is also the first time I hear this theory and strategy.
I am Super No Idea..!
I go on and look for some educational type of websites.
Finally, there is a website I think it is nice, simple and interactive as well.
Try this website: http://www.funbrain.com/ and have fun ya!
After the lesson, I ponder on the previous websites I surfed, I realized that building a website is as easy as 123 (nowadays even have tons of templates and only require a very minimum of programing knowledge), but to build an educational website is not that easy at all.
We need additional knowledge to help us!
It is simple to build a website, but to build a website that keep the users coming, is as hard as moving a mountain!

1st Week: Introduction

The 1st week of the lesson is a briefing and some expectations.
It seems like this course have a number of assignments either group or individually need to be done.
The case study is something very new to me.
Frankly speaking, I don't know anything about this thing.

Setting up a website, commenting a website and reconstruct a better website with simple strategy, I am sure I did it before.
But.. this course is a lot more demanding than this. I guess..
I was thinking dropping this subject somehow.
However, when I think back, I am already here, giving up is not my option, why don't I give it all and try my best?
Well, I want to keep on moving..
